I wasn’t one of those lucky few who discovered their passion when they were five; it took me a little longer than that. It took me until I was fifteen, my freshman year of high school, to realize I would do whatever it took to work in the fashion industry. There was something that took me a while to figure out, though. How did it work? When did this concept of fashion originate? What makes couture couture? I had so many questions, and I couldn’t find a single person with all the answers. That’s when I realized, I wasn’t the only one looking for these answers; there are more of you like me trying to make it in this industry with no idea how any of it works. That is why I started Chicology.
Chicology isn’t going to give you a quick step-by-step guide on how to break into the industry; we will do it together. As the other members of the team and I learn more and more, we will write about it, share our experiences, and tell you what works and what doesn’t.
I don’t want this to be a magazine that is purely educational, so we will include lifestyle content as well, giving you insights into how the fashion industry fits into your daily life and how you can choose to incorporate it.
Our goal here at Chicology is simple: we want to study fashion, but we also want to share that with you, so that even if you didn’t discover this passion until you were seventeen or were lucky and discovered it early, you will still have a chance to achieve your goals.
